TRON: Deadly Discs

TRON: Deadly Discs used the Disney film license to create a perfect Intellivision action game. The player controlled Tron in an arena where digital warriors attacked from every direction throwing lethal discs. The directional disc controlled movement while side buttons directed disc throws — you could move in one direction and throw in another, a control level impossible on Atari. Fighters visibly dismembered when hit. With the electronic soundtrack and the film's neon aesthetic, it was the most 'arcade' experience available on Intellivision.
