The Story
Microsurgeon was the most original and ambitious game in the entire Intellivision library. Shrunk and injected into a patient's body, the player navigated through real organs โ heart, lungs, brain, eyes โ fighting tumors, infections, clots and kidney stones with a medical treatment arsenal. A human body map showed each organ's status in real-time. If an organ reached critical state, the patient died. Imagic's Rick Levine created an educational game disguised as action โ light years ahead of anything seen in 1982, anticipating concepts that would only reappear with titles like Trauma Center twenty years later.
