Link's Awakening DX updated the masterpiece for Game Boy Color splendidly. Colors transformed Koholint: emerald green forests, azure sea, every area with distinct visual personality. The exclusive Color Dungeon offered red tunic (doubled attack) or blue (doubled defense) — a permanent choice changing gameplay approach. The Game Boy Printer let you print photos taken with the Camera Mouse. The same perfect game from 5 years earlier, but the definitive version everyone recommends. The 2019 Switch remake would later bring it to 3D, but the colored sprite charm remains unique.
