Ultra Pong (16 giochi)

Ultra Pong represented the line's pinnacle — 16 included games exhausting every possible theme variation: classic Pong, Hockey, Squash, games with on-screen obstacles, invisible paddle variants, Catch (where the ball had to be caught, not bounced), and even a rudimentary target shooting. It used the AY-3-8600 chip, evolution of the original. Price was $69.95 — cheaper than the original thanks to reduced chip costs. But Ultra Pong arrived too late: the cartridge-based 2600 was about to launch and would forever obsolete the built-in game console concept. Ultra Pong was an era's swan song.
