The Story
Hockey was the first variant available on Home Pong โ selectable with the console's switch. The difference was simple but transformative: no center line. The ball could bounce off top and bottom screen walls reaching unpredictable angles. The result was a much more chaotic and fast game than traditional Tennis, where reflexes mattered more than strategy. For expert players finding Tennis too predictable, Hockey offered adrenaline chaos. It demonstrated that even a small rule change could create a completely different experience โ a game design lesson in its most elementary form.
