The Story
Miyamoto rejected DKC's pre-rendered style and chose the opposite: a world looking like crayon and watercolor drawings. The SuperFX2 chip enabled real-time rotations, zooms and deformations. Yoshi threw eggs with analog aiming, transformed into helicopter and train. Baby Mario crying when hit is annoying โ and genius, because it motivates you not to get hit. An artistic and ludic masterpiece.
