The Story
Star Fox was impossible: polygonal 3D on a 2D console, thanks to the SuperFX chip built into the cartridge. Polygons were crude but the effect was magical. Fox McCloud, Peppy, Slippy and Falco formed an iconic team. Branching paths provided replayability, and Corneria remains one of gaming's most memorable levels. Argonaut Software collaborated with Nintendo in a partnership that also produced the SuperFX2 for Yoshi's Island.
