The Story
Contra III brought the series to its peak: two switchable simultaneous weapons, screen-clearing bombs, and Mode 7 top-down levels where the world rotated beneath your feet. The first level — a burning city under alien attack — is still one of gaming's most explosive openings. In co-op it was pure, wonderful chaos. Konami at its action best.
