Thunder Castle

Thunder Castle was published in 1986 — two years after Mattel Electronics' closure — by INTV Corporation which had acquired the rights. A knight explored a castle full of dragons, wizards and demons, collecting magic items (boots, shields, swords) granting temporary powers. Level design was surprisingly sophisticated for Intellivision, with enemy patterns requiring strategy and timing. One of the last games developed for the console, proving that even in 1986, Intellivision hardware could still surprise in expert programmers' hands.
