Lock 'n' Chase

Lock 'n' Chase was Intellivision's answer to Pac-Man — which had no official version on the Mattel console. A thief in a bank maze collected gold bars and coins while avoiding guards, with the ability to close temporary doors behind to block pursuers. Adding doors completely changed the dynamic versus Pac-Man: you weren't just prey but could manipulate the maze. The Intellivision version was considered superior to arcade thanks to the console's more powerful hardware versus the original board.
