AD&D: Cloudy Mountain

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: The Cloudy Mountain (also known as Crown of Kings) was revolutionary: the first action game with RPG elements on a home console. The player crossed an overworld map choosing which mountain to explore, then entered procedurally generated dungeons full of snakes, demons and dragons. The bow with limited arrows forced strategy: shoot sparingly or risk being unarmed. Dungeons changed every playthrough thanks to procedural generation — an extremely advanced concept for 1982. With official Dungeons & Dragons license, it was Intellivision's most prestigious adventure.
