Pitfall!

Pitfall! on Intellivision was the enhanced version of the Activision classic: Pitfall Harry ran through the jungle jumping on crocodiles, avoiding scorpions and collecting treasures, but with larger sprites, more vivid colors and details impossible on the Atari 2600 version. Vines were smoother, logs more defined, pits more menacing. Gameplay was identical — 20 minutes to find 32 treasures in 255 screens — but the visual experience was decidedly superior. For Intellivision owners, proof that third-party games benefited from more powerful hardware.
