Designed by Miyamoto: a mole digs tunnels for puzzles. A hidden gem.

The Story
Mole Mania is Nintendo's great secret: a puzzle game designed by Shigeru Miyamoto himself, almost completely unknown to the general public. Muddy the mole dug underground tunnels to bypass surface obstacles — every level required three-dimensional thinking, simultaneously considering the upper and lower planes. Puzzles started simple and became fiendishly complex. Released in 1996, the same year as Pokémon, which completely eclipsed it in sales. Those who rediscover it today consider it one of the best puzzle games ever on any platform. Miyamoto himself has cited it as one of his favorite works.
