The Story
Simon Says brought the classic children's game to the Odyssey screen. One player moved their square in a sequence across the playing field, and the other had to replicate exactly the same movements in correct order. There was no digital verification system โ players judged themselves whether the replica was correct, like a party game. It's interesting that Milton Bradley's electronic 'Simon' game (1978) โ the device with four colored buttons generating sequences to memorize โ has a direct conceptual link to this Odyssey game, even if not a direct technological descendant.
