The Story
Mega Drive Aladdin sits at gaming's longest-running debate: which version is better, Sega or SNES? The Sega version was animated by actual Disney artists led by David Perry, with Aladdin wielding a scimitar โ visually spectacular with movie-quality fluid animations. Capcom's SNES version was more traditional Mario-like platforming, no sword but more precise jumping. Miyamoto himself declared the Mega Drive version visually superior. Sold millions proving Mega Drive could produce cinematic-quality animation. The Sega vs SNES Aladdin debate has raged since 1993 โ and probably never ends.
