The Story

Road Rash II was Electronic Arts before becoming today's EA โ€” experimental, anarchic, unafraid to offend. Illegal motorcycle races on public roads where kicks, punches, chains and clubs were not just permitted but encouraged. Two-player split-screen was pure two-wheeled chaos. The rock soundtrack amplified adrenaline from 200 km/h overtakes with police in pursuit. The progression system โ€” winning races to buy better bikes โ€” was surprisingly deep. A game that wouldn't pass any modern censorship board, but in 1992 embodied Sega's rebellious, anti-establishment spirit.
