Star Strike

Star Strike was the Star Wars Mattel couldn't call Star Wars. The player piloted a fighter along a trench on an enemy space station, destroying targets before the station reached Earth. The first-person perspective with the trench scrolling toward you was identical to the Death Star scene — and nobody sued. If you failed, Earth exploded in one of the generation's most dramatic animations. Use of depth and perspective were remarkable for 1982.
