PaRappa the Rapper

PaRappa the Rapper invented the rhythm game. A paper-flat rapper puppy had to repeat rhythmic sequences to learn karate, get a license and woo Sunny Funny. Rodney Greenblat's flat graphic style was unique. 'Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind!' became a global earworm. The game was short (2 hours) but infinitely replayable for freestyle mode. Without PaRappa, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and the entire music genre wouldn't exist.
