The Story
Kazunori Yamauchi spent five years creating Gran Turismo, an obsession with realism that changed racing games forever. 178 real cars with distinct physics, real circuits reconstructed to the centimeter, and licenses to pass before accessing advanced races. It was a simulator disguised as a game, selling over 10 million copies proving audiences wanted authenticity. The intro with 'Moon Over the Castle' by Masahiro Andoh is iconic.
