Kirby's Adventure

Kirby's Adventure was the NES's last great game and the first with the Copy system: swallowing enemies to steal powers. 24 different abilities — fire, sword, laser, wheel — transformed every encounter into a choice. Masahiro Sakurai (future Smash Bros. creator) designed an accessible but deep game with secrets everywhere. Graphics pushed the NES to absolute limits with parallax and impossible effects.
