Game Freak without Pokémon: a platformer with a drill and cartridge rumble.

The Story

Drill Dozer proves Game Freak could do much more than Pokémon. Jill piloted a mech with a 3-gear drill: each gear shift increased power and speed. The cartridge contained a rumble motor vibrating the GBA with every drill. Level design used the drill creatively: piercing walls, screwing bolts, drilling bosses. Ignored at launch, now a cult classic.
